How We Support You
Wherever you are in your journey, we have a service designed to meet you there
Emotional Support
Talking to someone who truly understands can be the first step toward safety. Our trained support workers offer one-to-one sessions where you can share your experience without judgement, at your own pace.
Sessions are available in person, by phone, or online — in your preferred language.
Independent Advocacy
We help you understand your rights, navigate your options, and access the support you need. This includes referrals to housing, social services, counselling, and other statutory and voluntary organisations.
You will never have to face the system alone.
Legal Advocacy
We work with solicitors and barristers to support people affected by post-separation abuse, particularly where financial abuse is being used to prevent access to divorce or child contact proceedings.
We ensure that abusers cannot use the legal system as a tool of control.
We also work in partnership with FlagDV — specialist legal advocates supporting survivors through the legal process.
Freedom Programme
A nationally recognised programme for people affected by domestic abuse. Over 12 weekly sessions, participants learn to understand the attitudes and beliefs that drive abusive behaviour.
The programme helps participants recognise healthy relationship patterns and regain confidence, self-worth, and hope for the future.
VOICE Training
Victims of Intimate Coercive Experience is a specialist programme focused on coercive control. VOICE helps people name, understand, and process the patterns of controlling behaviour they have lived through.
Completing VOICE gives participants the language and clarity to move forward with confidence.
Chai and Chat
A safe, welcoming community group where people can connect, share, and build friendships with others who truly understand. Chai and Chat meets regularly and is particularly valuable for those from migrant or minority communities who may feel isolated.
No referral needed. Just come as you are.
Online Support Groups
Safe, facilitated online group sessions for survivors who cannot attend in person — whether due to location, caring responsibilities, disability, or safety concerns. Sessions are led by trained support workers in a confidential virtual setting.
A way to access peer connection and professional support, wherever you are.
OWN My Life
OWN My Life is a structured recovery programme that helps survivors understand and process the impact of abusive relationships. Through guided group sessions, participants explore personal boundaries, self-worth, and strategies for reclaiming their identity and direction.
Empowering, evidence-based, and delivered in a safe and supportive group setting.
Bespoke Recovery Programme
When a standard programme is not the right fit, we develop a personalised recovery pathway for survivors of domestic abuse and sexual abuse. Our team works closely with you to create a tailored programme that addresses your specific needs, at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
Available to those we are already working with, via a support worker or professional referral.
Cultural Awareness Training
We deliver cultural awareness training for professionals, community organisations, and statutory agencies working with people from diverse backgrounds. Sessions explore how culture, faith, and honour-based dynamics intersect with domestic abuse and coercive control.
Equipping those around survivors with the knowledge to respond sensitively — without prejudice or harmful assumption.
Sexual Abuse Support
Our trained Independent Sexual Violence Advisers (ISVAs) support anyone who has experienced sexual violence or sexual abuse — whether recent or many years ago, and whether or not you choose to report.
We listen without judgement, explain your options clearly, and stand alongside you through police, medical, and court processes — always at your own pace, and always on your terms.
Therapy & Counselling
For those living with the impact of trauma on mental health, our volunteer therapists, counsellors, and mental-health practitioners offer tailored therapeutic support.
Sessions are trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and led at a pace that feels safe — helping you process the impact of trauma and reclaim your wellbeing.
